With reference to the 10th paragraph of your despatch before referred to, Dr Ayres reports that at various times since the destruction of the Hospital by fire in 1898 and its removal to the "Lock Hospital", various appointments have been made in the Hospital and Medical Staff which have materially lightened the duties of the Principal Civil Medical Officer.
